NATALIE DIDDAMS

Natalie Diddams is an Assistant Professor in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick. She is an arts-based practitioner and researcher with a particular focus on socially engaged and participatory theatre.
Natalie is an experienced theatre director, workshop facilitator, and dramaturg. Her credits include Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the Earth (The Javaad Alipoor Company), B!RTH (Royal Exchange Theatre), and A Series of Metaphors Relating to a Plague (HOME Manchester). As a dramaturg, she contributed to the internationally acclaimed The Believers Are But Brothers, which toured globally and was later adapted for BBC Four. She is also an Associate Artist with Trestle Theatre and the International Schools Theatre Association, and has extensive experience in theatre-in-education and youth-led performance.
Natalie has been involved with Drama Matters since 2022 and is proud to serve as a patron. She believes Drama Matters is offering an essential platform for teachers, students, and practitioners alike, especially in an increasingly challenging climate for arts education. She is passionate about promoting drama as a vital creative and cultural force and looks forward to continuing her work with the organisation.
