CAROLYN DAVIES-MOORE

After leaving he Birmingham School of Speech and Dramatic Art now called the Conservatoire, I worked professionally with The Custard Factory Theatre Company based in Digbeth, Birmingham whose specialty was Shakespeare and accessibility to this work for young people. As well as touring we were employed to workshop and perform in schools. I also had a regular slot in Bedworth, Coventry and Bromsgrove facilitating a Youth Theatre.
As well as continuing to professionally act, becoming a member Of Maverick Theatre Company , The Mouse People, Innamorata and Birmingham New Theatre Company I continued to work with young people across the country.
After moving to North Wales I worked for Theatre Clwyd facilitating some of their youth theatre groups.
I eventually trained as a post 16 lecturer. Ironically I got a job in a secondary school teaching drama, amongst other subjects, who then put me through my GTP. I qualified as a Secondary school teacher and then went onto do my MA focussing on literacy, oracy and drama. I was also a fitness instructor - but thats another story….
I am now teaching in a college specialising in A Level Drama and Film Studies. I am also an Examiner/Moderator for WJEC/ EDUQAS for both A Level and GCSE and a CPD deliverer for them. I mark drama performances and exam papers as well as deliver programmes to schools, if they require extra support.
Totally thrilled to be a Bridge Builder!
